New Catalog Bookmark Gifts. Every year the plan is to give a simple gift with my catalogs, especially for my Club Members. This will be the first time I got it done! Yeah! Something gets marked off my to-do-list!
In reviewing 2008 events, I found this project idea from Carrie Cudney with Stampin' Up! She had the cutest Cooking Inspired Projects at Convention. Instead of Bookmarks, she made Cookmarks. Here she is on the SU Jumbo-tron showing us how to make them...
I thought with the new catalog just around the corner one should make some special bookmarks for Club Members and their New Catalogs! Need to join my club?{smile}. Please email me at diana(at)dianaball-seitz.com to get more club details.
I used the colors of the soon-to-be-available Designer Series Paper "Raspberry Tart" and the KWernerDesignBlog Challenge Colors for even more inspiration. Here are some more shots... I used Business Card Self Adhesive Magnets. They aren't the cheapest, but you cut them into pretty small pieces and it is not too bad. I like the self-adhesive part. But I have been hoarding the old calendar magnets from the insurance office each year for a few years now...but you have to use sticky strip with those.
I made quite a few of them. They are so easy & it is lots of fun to play with different color combinations for each element. For mass production you can punch all the parts. If just creating a few, cut out your elements. One of my all time favorite SWAPS(trades) I ever received was just a much simpler version of this bookmark on a card. (The two thin magnets that snap together between your page are really the neat part. This bookmark won't slip out.)
Goodies Used: Flight of the Butterflies Stamp Set, Old Olive, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red & Whisper White Cardstock, Raspberry Tart DSP, Stamp-a-Ma-Gig, Pretty in Pink & Rose Red Craft Inks, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Flower Fusion, 1 3/8", 1 1/4", 1 3/8", & Scallop Circle Punches, Thin Magnets.
Here is Kristina's Challenge Inspiration.
Hope you have a WONDERFUL New Year's Day. Many Blessing to you & yours. Find time for what you LOVE! Diana

I just found your blog this morning through SCS and I have to say that your work is stunning. You've ALMOST made me think I need the Just Jawing set and up til now I wouldn't have given that set a second thought. You have inspired me to even get back to some of my scrapbooking that has been on the back bunner. I will defintely be watching your your beautiful work. Thanks so much and Happy New Year to you and yours.

Diana -- great idea! I'm off to my stamp table to use my Flight of the Butterfly, make bookmarks for every catty and promote the catalog sampler special all in one inspired act! Thanks!
